Mission

PACOG is a voluntary organization of COGs and intergovernmental organizations created to foster cooperative joint efforts in the solution of cross-jurisdictional issues, questions, problems and opportunities. Specific purposes are to:

Ensure and assist effective cross-jurisdictional communication, coordination and collaboration among local governments and intergovernmental organizations.

Provide for the development and efficient exchange of ideas and methods of performing various municipal functions through intergovernmental cooperation.

Facilitate specific agreements and cooperative actions for intergovernmental activities.

Provide additional general and technical aid for intergovernmental cooperation.

Promote beneficial legislation and policies essential to the advancement of locally based public services through intergovernmental cooperation.

Provide additional specific services for COGs and intergovernmental organizations across the Commonwealth to support and enhance their programs.
